Keeping your sneakers fresh is easier than you imagine. You do NOT need a plethora of fancy equipment to do this. Its fairly quick and the result is amazing.
* THIS ARTICLE IS MEANT ONLY FOR LEATHER SNEAKERS - DO NOT TRY THIS ON SUEDE OR NUBUCK SHOES
So what all will you need for this:
- Water
- A Bucket
- A brush with soft bristles preferably
- Any tooth paste
- 2 Clean towels
Step 1: Take some water in a bucket and damp the brush, now put some toothpaste on the brush and rub the shoe gently (DO NOT BE ROUGH, THE LEATHER CAN DAMAGE)
Step 2: Dampen one of the towels and wipe the shoe
Step 3: Repeat step 1&2 till you get the desired result
Step 4: Wipe the shoe dry with the dry towel
Step 5: Leave the shoes to dry (NOT UNDER DIRECT SUNLIGHT)
Thats it dude! you're done. Rock those kicks with pride!
Some Points to Note:
- Be gentle, they're your babies
- Don't soak the shoes
- Remove the insole and clean it separately
- Clean the outsole for extra freshness
- Make sure the towels are clean - this is super important
- Use a toothbrush for hard to reach areas
